Since 21 Savage was arrested and charged for being in the US without legal documentation, there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not he is banned from the country.
The answer is no, the rapper is now banned from entering America. On January 29th, 2018 US authorities arrested him in Atlanta for being a UK citizen and having overstayed his visa. He was detained by ICE agents who reviewed the warrant that was issued for his arrest back in October of 2017.
The rapper was returning to Los Angeles after spending time in London for the GQ Men of the Year Awards. That time, he was stopped by customs agents and questioned about his immigration status.
21 Savage is a UK Citizen, which means that he has the automatic right to live and work in America.

This gives him some autonomy from his immigration status. But it doesn’t protect him against deportation if he’s found guilty of violating US law.
In a recent interview with TMZ, 21 Savage was asked if he had any plans to return to the US anytime soon. He responded by saying that he is not sure.
Because “it’s too many people in America who don’t want me here right now”.
This statement has led people to wonder whether or not the rapper is banned from entering the country due to his immigration status.
After the Incident 21 Savage’s Life
There’s no evidence that the rapper is now banned from entering America.
In a recent interview, he said, “I’m not sure” when asked if he had any plans to return to the US anytime soon.
This could mean anything—perhaps 21 Savage doesn’t know how long it will take for his criminal charges to be resolved in this issue or he may not know when it will be safe to return.
If 21 Savage is banned from entering the country, then his criminal charges would need to be resolved before he could legally enter America again.
So for now we can only wait and see what happens.
Did his Career Affect this Incident?
The rapper’s career has been around for a while now. So, it won’t be too hard to bounce back from this incident.
He is also currently on the European leg of his “A Lot” tour that started in September and runs through October—so he’ll have plenty of time away from America anyway.
We will just need to wait and see what happens after the trial ends.”
How his Fans react after his Arrest?
21 Savage’s fans were relieved that he wasn’t banned from the US and many offered their support.
“We are so glad 21 is not banned from America,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “He needs to be here, back in his country.”
In another message, they said: “@21savage we love you pumpkin.”
Meanwhile, other people were more concerned about how this incident will affect him career-wise as opposed to what it means for his citizenship status.
“It doesn’t matter if 21 Savage can come back or not. Because I don’t know who would want to listen to a rapper with such violent records anyway,”
Someone tweeted before adding: “@21Savage keep up the good work!”
“I hope others think twice about guns and their consequences,” one user wrote, before adding: “21 Savage should have thought twice.”
Another person said that they were glad he was not banned from America. Because then it would be like ‘banning someone for life’.
Young Thug also tweeted an emoji of a tongue sticking out with two British flags on either side which could mean anything from frustration or sarcasm or irony!!
