There are many extremely simple actions that nevertheless require the installation of third-party applications, which in many cases are even paid programs. Fortunately, this is not the case with PNG or JPG to PDF conversion, that is, converting an image or photo from your iPhone or iPad to a format more normally intended for text.

Save the photo to the Files app

The conversion process to PDF will be performed from the Files application. This is the native app that iPhone and iPad have had since iOS 11, so you’ll need to have this or a newer version of the software on your device.

Once you locate the app, you will need to place the image in question there. If the photo is in your gallery,  you will need to hit the share button and then select “Save to Files.” You can then choose the location where you want to store it, which is on your iPhone or iPad or in iCloud Drive.

Convert a photo to PDF

Once you have saved the photo in the appropriate Files folder, you will need to go to that location. 

Once you locate it, you will only have to press it for a few seconds until a context menu appears where the  “Create a PDF joiner may help” option will appear. If you click on it, you will see that the document has been generated automatically because the process only takes a few seconds to complete. 

Perhaps the biggest  drawback  comes from the fact that you can’t create several PDF files at once or even integrate more than one image into the same document.

Why convert a photo to PDF?

A photo is simply a photo, while the PDF format is usually more intended for large documents with texts and they usually serve as official documents because they can be protected so that no one can edit them. 

However, there are a few reasons why you might use certain photos to use this format.

If you are a student, it is likely that class notes were once given to you with a photo, it is much more convenient to have them in PDF format. Digital Signatures You may need to send a photocopy of a document or even an ID card, for which the iPhone camera can be a great ally. 

Sending these types of documents in photo format is usually less serious, so the ability to convert these files to PDF is much more correct.
