Does Lil Pump Speak Spanish?

Lil Pump is one of the newest rap stars on the scene, but does he speak Spanish? This question has been popping up more and more in recent weeks. Some people say that Lil Pump speaks Spanish because he has a song called “Flex like ouu.”

Others say that this is just an English version of the popular Brazilian dance move known as “salta como um touro” or “jump like a bull.” We will explore both sides of this debate in this blog post!

The answer is no. Lil Pump does not speak Spanish. But in a social media live, he talked some Spanish words. From then, people believed that he is fluent in Spanish. But this is just a rumor.

Family Background

Lil Pump is an American rapper. He was born in August 2000, making him 18 years old as of this writing (2018).

Lil Pump’s mother is Mexican and his father is Cuban. So, he was brought up in mixed ethnic. 

His stage name “Lil Pump” derives from his childhood nickname of “Pumpie” which he was given because his parents thought he had a chubby face as an infant.

He grew up without running water or electricity at times when living with 16 people in one three-bedroom house before moving out of it when he was nine years old and finally got new shoes.

This is the proof of their struggle in childhood.-town. He moved out to California with money he got from selling drugs back home at the age of 16 before getting famous.

As a rapper on SoundCloud by making songs about abuse, depression, and violence that were popular among other young people growing up without much guidance or opportunities like him.

His most notable song “Gucci Gang” propelled Lil Pump’s popularity massively within weeks after its release because it became both number one hit on Billboard Hot 100 list as well as a certified platinum record.

Career Beginnings

In 2015, Lil started his career through music. First of all, he did a freestyle in Smokepurpp’s track. 

Then in the same year, he released his first single “Flex like ouu.”

In 2016, Lil Pump collaborated with Smokepurpp on a song called “Might as well” that got more than 100 million views.

He was nominated for XXL’s Freshman list and joined G-Eazy’s tour to support him during 2017. He started releasing singles such as “D Rose” and “Boss”. In 2018, some of the songs by Lil were mentioned on Billboard Hot 100 charts.

From this success, he dares to release more albums. In 2019, he released two albums: Gang Banger and Lil Pump.

These albums were ranked at number eight on the Billboard 200 chart.

Lil started his career with some friends from Florida called Smokepurpp and XXXTentacion. They created a group together in 2017 called “Members Only.

The song they made for this group is ” Members only” which has more than 17 million views on YouTube. Two songs by Lil are in the top 100 of Billboards Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart “Iced Out My Arms.” and “Boss”.

His singles have become popular all over social media such as Instagram or Twitter where people post their videos dancing to them.


Lil Pump’s career is very short, he started working in 2015. But in his short life, he also faced some controversies.

The rapper is in trouble with the law for firing a gun at his home and car. He was sentenced to community service, probation, and released on bail.

He does not have any criminal record though so it’s good he can still work legally. Some people were worried that because of this incident, Lil Pump would be deported from America.

But don’t worry, he is still here.

He also faced some other controversies like the ordeal with his girlfriend’s home being raided by police and a fight at one of his shows.

Lil Pump has had many problems during his short career but fortunately, none have been as serious as deportation from America or going to jail for something really bad like murder. Hopefully, this guy does not see more controversy heading his way anytime soon!
