Is Shaq A Hall of Famer?

Shaq aka Shaquille O’Neal is an eminent basketball player. He was born in New Jersey. Shaq entered as a basketball player in 1994 and retired in 2011.

In the brief span of his playing career, he achieved a lot of fame along with awards. This 7.1 feet guy is famous for his blocking on the court. After his retirement, people are asked if Shaq is a Hall of Famer.

Shaq Inducted Into The Hall of Fame:

When Shaq was a little boy, he came to know three legends of the NBA of then through his stepfather. Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul, and Chamberlain, these three players were the best players during Shaq’s childhood.

Moreover, he told this short story in his induction speech to the Hall of fame in 2016.

Shaq O’Neal told he would prefer 4 legends like Bill Russell (75), Julis “Dr. J” Erving (93), Alonzo Mourning (14), and Isiah Thomas (00). 

Shaq felt that all these 4 legends have portrayed some meaningful role in his life. He described Bill Russell as “The Greatest Big Man Ever”, and learned about leadership from Isiah Thomas.

Why Did Shaq not attend the Hall of Fame in 2020?

Shaq O’Neal did not join the Hall of Fame in 2020 because of Kobe Bryant’s passing away. Kobe Bryant was Shaq’s close friend and they played simultaneously for the Lakers. 

Kobe Bryant had died in a helicopter crash. Unfortunately, Kobe lost his daughter and 7 others in that accident.

In 2020, the Hall of Fame exhibited pictures and videos of Kobe Bryant that’s why Shaq did not attend that fest. Shaq said they were always interconnected. What people think it’s none of his business.

What Was An NBA Hall of Famers Get awarded?

Honestly saying, the hall of farmers gained nothing as their reward. They have entered the Hall of Fame because they provided people an excellent careers in the past.
