The question of “Is Action Bronson Greek?” has been a topic of conversation for the past few months. The debate started when he tweeted out that he was in Greece and people started questioning his ethnicity.
There have been many different theories as to where he is from, but no one knows for sure.
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Action Bronson claims that he has never been to Greece and does not speak any Greek. He was born on December 2, 1983, so it’s possible that his parents immigrated to the United States when they were younger and decided to raise him here. So, we say that it’s a rumor.
Some people think that the reason for all of this confusion about what ethnicity Action Bronson belongs to could be because in a lot of Latin countries it’s not uncommon to have mixed heritage.

In one of his songs, he says “I’m a f*ckin’ GREEK.” He’s been seen wearing and talking about Greece in several different interviews. For example, when asked what is the matter about his ethnicity.
How the Rumor Spread?
The story that Action Bronson is Greek started in April of 2012 when a fan tweeted about hearing an interview with the rapper on WBLS.
The rumor resurfaced when he was asked to perform at this year’s Arhagio festival and had to deny it as a condition for playing. “It’s not about what you are, it’s about what you do,” he said.
“I have to say that I am not Greek. It has nothing to do with the good people of Greece and everything to do with a festival in Brooklyn. We’ll get together soon through music. It doesn’t seem like they’ll have anything else in common.
His fan was confused about the denial because she said he was “definitely Greek.” Action Bronson is not greek but has a ton of fans in Greece.
