Motorsports that kick off in January
The Dakar Rally is one of the toughest events in motor racing and was hosted by Saudi Arabia from January 5 to 19th this year. The World Rally Championship (WRC) is the second oldest of the FIA’s world championships and is poised for an exhilarating 2024 season. It will take place on four continents and in 13 locations.
It kicks off with the iconic Rally Monte-Carlo from January 25th to 28th. The first round of the new season of Formula E took place recently in Mexico.

Verstappen could become the fifth driver in Grand Prix history to win four consecutive F1 championships. The calendar finishes in Abu Dhabi on December 8th. There has been an effort at greater calendar regionalization to make this racing series more manageable and environmentally sustainable.
World Endurance Championship
The season starts on the same weekend as F1 and will take place in Qatar. Toyota has won the past five championships. It is contested over eight rounds across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America. The races vary in distance from six hours to 24 hours. Round four of the WEC is the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. This is still one of the sports events in 2024 that is likely to draw much attention. It remains one of the world’s greatest sporting events.
Formula E competitions in 2024
Formula E is the only motorsport featuring electric cars and could be significant in the future of sports like motor racing. Formula E first emerged in 2014. In the new season, British driver Jake Dennis will defend his Drivers’ Champion title.
Eleven teams with two drivers take part. Envision Racing goes into the new season as the defending champions. Rounds 2 and 3 will take place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, on January 26th and 27th. The final round of the Formula E competition will be in London, England, on July 21st.
