I’m not going to lie, I thought about it too. Ice Cube is a rapper who has been in the game for decades now. He’s collaborated with many of my favorite artists and he even got his movie!
So when I saw that the title of this blog post was “Does Ice Cube have a criminal record?” I couldn’t help but wonder if he did.
The answer is no. I’m happy to say he doesn’t have any criminal record. But he was arrested when performing on stage in New York City back in 2006. I’m not sure what he was charged with, but I know it wasn’t anything related to a criminal record. He was sentenced to 15 days of community labor and probation for disorderly conduct and harassment charges instead.
So don’t worry about Ice Cube’s criminal history just yet because he doesn’t have one!

How the rumor Spread?
The rumor that Ice Cube has a criminal record is likely to have spread when he was arrested and sentenced for disorderly conduct charges in 2006. The arrest may have seemed like it had something to do with his criminal history. But, as we’ve established this isn’t the case!
All the rumors spread quickly and people believed it blindly without any proof.
He did not serve time behind bars with the other criminals because his crime was more of just an act-out behavior. Like when someone yells loudly at another person while they are mad about something else.
This isn’t physically hurting them or their property. This could be seen as less serious than actual physical violence crimes such as theft or assault.
Ice cube’s Film and Television Career
Ice Cube is one of the most well-known hip-hop artists and actors in Hollywood, but he’s also known for being a successful businessman.
In 1991, Ice Cube started his own record label called Lench Mob Records which he eventually sold to Jive Records.
This was when he released his album “Death Certificate” and it went on to be certified platinum by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) – meaning that it had more than one million sales.
Along with making music, he acted in more than 40 movies. One of his most well-known movies is called “Boyz n the Hood” which he made with John Singleton in 1991.
This was when Ice Cube played Doughboy who was a gang member and best friend to Tre, played by Cuba Gooding Jr.
He also acted alongside some other famous actors such as Laurence Fishburne, Michael Jordan, Chris Tucker, and Samuel L Jackson.
Ice Cube’s acting career has been successful because he doesn’t know how to take himself too seriously – just like it works for him in music!
In 1992, he starred in one of my favorite films ever: Friday (alongside people from Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes).
Ice Cube is best known for his work with N.W.A., when he was a member of the gangsta rap group and as an actor in movies such as ‘Boyz n the Hood’, ‘Friday’ and more recently, ‘Ride Along’.
In 1995, he released his solo album ‘Laugh Now Cry’ which included an homage to M.C. Shan’s 1988 song ‘Kill That Noise’.
