Does Dr. Dre have a PhD? It’s a question that has been on the minds of many people for years. Dre is known as one of the most successful hip-hop artists, and he has even won multiple Grammys due to his music career success.

But what about when it comes to education? Does this legendary artist hold an advanced degree from a prestigious university? I don’t know about you, but I was always under the impression that Dr. Dre had a PhD in life!

The answer is yes! In an interview, he said, “I got a PhD in social anthropology. I’m still dumb.” Dr. Dre has an advanced degree from the University of California Los Angeles. He studied under Roger Guenveur Smith, one of LA’s most prominent theater artists.

Dr. Dres PhD is not the reason for his success though! His accomplishments are rooted in hard work and determination!

From his childhood, he was concern about his study. So, he worked hard and achieved his goals. You should never give up on your dreams and goals. For Dr. Dre, his goal was to be a rapper.

Complete Doctorate Degree

The accomplishments of Dr. Dre are rooted in hard work and determination! Now, he is officially a doctor. Recently, the rapper was awarded an honorary doctorate from his alma mater UCLA.

The university noted that he “has been a pioneer in hip-hop music and culture” since the 1980s.

Dr.Dre has always had ambitions to be more than just a musician. So it is not surprising that Dr. Dre continues to work as an entrepreneur, developing new artists through Aftermath records and Beats Electronics.

Having a PhD or higher degree is a big achievement. And it is not the only degree Dr. Dre has. He also has a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Lewis College in Chicago.

Higher Degree: Are they Necessary?

To be a successful rapper degree does not matter. But having a degree is good it shows his qualification.

He has two BA’s from Lewis College – one in science and the other in arts – as well as an MBA from California State University at Northridge which is a master-level degree on top of his Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree.

Having a degree is important but when you worked in the entertainment industry it’s more about how talented you are!

Life Before Fame

Everyone has to struggle through life before fame. It’s not easy to be a rapper, but the cool thing is that with his music he was able to make an income and as well as provide for his family.

He always wanted a better future so he could change the world. And even though in some ways it has given him more opportunities than others.

There are many negatives side effects of being famous such as people wanting you all day every day or having no privacy ever – which can also happen when someone’s rich too!

He had a very interesting childhood because of how much poverty they lived in despite living right next to one of the wealthiest cities in America, Long Beach, California. His mother worked long hours just like any other woman.
