DaBaby, Jonathan Lyndale Kirk is a rapper and singer. He has been in the music industry for over 5 years now but does he have a degree? There are many speculations about his education status but let’s get to the bottom of this once and for all.
We will talk about what we know so far about his educational background, where did he go to school, why didn’t he graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
DaBaby graduated in 2010 and continued to pursue his education at the University of North Carolina Greensboro for two years before dropping out without a degree.
In December 2017, DaBaby was a guest on “The Breakfast Club” where Charlamagne Tha God asked him about going back to college and completing studying there after dropping out from UNCG. DaBaby said:
“I could go now if I wanted to.” This implies that he is still considering returning to college someday.

What School was DaBaby going to before attending UNCG?
He attended Vance High School for his secondary education. Vance is a public, magnet school with an open-door policy and no admissions test. Students are selected to attend Vance based on teacher recommendations and grades.
This means that DaBaby was going to this school of underprivileged students before he attended UNCG.
The high school offers at least 40 Advanced Placement courses in math, science, social studies, history as well as art classes such as ceramics or sketching drawing.
Students can also take vocational training through various career academies like the culinary arts program if they do not plan to pursue higher education after graduation. It seems likely that DaBaby enrolled in one of these programs during his time there.
Attended the University of North Carolina and left
DaBaby attended UNCG for only a short time before leaving school. He was not required to take the SAT or ACT, and he admitted that his main reason for attending college at all was because of pressure from his parents who were encouraging him to have some kind of backup plan in case “rapping didn’t work out”.
Why did DaBaby leave UNCG?
DaBaby left UNCG because he felt that college was not for him. He had a difficult time adjusting to the rigid schedule and chose instead to focus on his rap career at home in Greensboro.
DaBaby mentioned that he would still go back if he could change some things about himself so as to be more successful while there.
After two years of attending school without completing any classes or taking exams, it is safe to say that DaBaby does not have an undergraduate degree from UNC-Greensboro or anywhere else.
