As a rapper, he was listened to several rappers and was inspired by their musical style. However, Kendrick’s musical style is also unique and appreciatable. 

Passion for music and hard work make him a famous rapper. He used to listen to music from his childhood and was inspired to be a part of the music industry.

When he was in California, he enjoyed the city culture and people. He was coping with this culture except for one issue. The issue was his father and close friends members of a gangster.

Kendrick Lamar started his journey in the music industry through a mixtape album. The mixtape album was released in 2004. Through this album, he got recognition in his area. 

Then signed a contract with record label production. Then, he started working under the Top Dawg Entertainment record label. Lamar took two years to release his second mixtape album ”Training Day”. 

Between 2006-2007, Lamar appeared in famous West-Coast rapper Ya Boy, Jay Rock’s joint work. Next year, Lamar was prominently featured in the famous rapper music video All My Life. 

After a live performance video, Lamar started to recognize by people. Actually, Lamar participated in a battle in Hamilton. His rap was later released as a full track. 

Then he got a chance to work with rapper Lil Wayne and officially signed a contract. Anyway, Lamar used a nickname in his early career given by himself. After starting work with Lil Wayne, he decided to used his birth name as a stage name. 

In 2009, Kendrick created a hip-hop group with his TDE label mates. The hip-hop group is known as Black Hippy. Because of his several works and tour, he started to be recognized by people.
