Julia Bradbury has an older brother Tom Bradbury, who is also her co-presenter on the BBC’s “Countryfile” program and with whom she shares many of their childhood memories in interviews. Bradbury has a sister named Gina Bradbury. 

The presenter Julia Bradbury has been known for her program Countryfile on BBC. As a presenter, she presents many programs on different tv channels. 

Early Life

Julia Bradbury was born on 24 July 1970 in Dublin, Ireland., to a Catholic family. Her father’s name is Michael Bradbury who is a marketing director of the steel and engineering industry. Her mother’s name is Jenny Hilary Barbara Bradbury.

She attended the Edith Weston primary school. Then, she completed her high school at Northern Highlands and then Trinity College Dublin where she read English & French.

In her childhood, she also attended acting classes and took part in a theatre. After graduating with her degree, Julia went on to work for RTÉ Television which was broadcast from 1992 until 1996. 

Personal Life

Julia has been married to Gerard Cunningham in 2000 and they have three children together. In 2011, Julia’s first child was born, named Zephyrus Cunningham. 

After three years later in 2014, she gave birth to twin girls Zena and Xanthe. With her three children, she leads a happy life. 

In June 2016, it was announced that Julia would be leaving Countryfile at the end of 2017 to pursue new projects. The decision came after more than 12 years of presenting the show alongside broadcaster Adam Henson who is also stepping down in September 2017.

Before Fame

Julia Bradbury started her career as a presenter on the BBC’s Countryfile program. Her first appearance on this show was in 2002.

She remained with the program until 2017 when she announced that she would be stepping down from her role as co-presenter to pursue other projects.

Bradbury has contributed to a range of programs for the BBC including The One Show and Meet Julia Bradbury, which aired at Christmas 2006 after being commissioned by Lorraine Heggessey.

The show followed Julia around Britain showcasing different regions and communities throughout their seasons: summer, autumn, winter, and spring. It also featured interviews with celebrities such as Joanna Lumley, Barry Humphries, and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

Julia Bradbury hosted many programs for BBC with her co-host. Such as Countryfile, Animal Park, and Springwatch. 

Also, she was previously employed as an events manager by the National Trust but left this job after her first appearance on Countryfile.
