Is Nicki Using a British accent in her song?

This song is called “Anaconda” which was released in 2014. The lyrics are a little hard to understand but it’s no secret that they’re talking about sex with the less attractive woman.

It seems as if Nicki Minaj has been using this British accent for some time now. In an interview last year, one of her managers said she had always used an American accent before then and he didn’t know why or how the change happened!

Fans have noticed since around 2013 when she first started singing more often than rapping on tracks like Beyonce’s “Flawless” remix (2013) and Kanye West & Jay-Z’s “Monster.”

It would seem that this new sound was a result of Nicki Minaj’s new accent.
