GNA also reported that singer Nicki Minaj had been arrested for drug possession in Las Vegas and killed herself shortly after hearing about her husband’s death.
It appears to be just another fake news site with false information meant to trick people into clicking onto it and generating revenue through ads.
There were some other reasons also. When his latest album was released, all the rumors turned end.
Akon’s Early Life
He was born in Missouri on April 17, 1973. Akon grew up in Senegal until he was eight years old when his family relocated to the US state of New Jersey after a coup d’état broke out back home.
In 1990, at age 17 Akon went solo with his first single “Locked Up” being released by Wild Pitch Records from Atlanta Georgia before signing onto Universal Music Group’s major label Island Def Jam Recordings where he would find success as both a recording artist and businessman over the next decade.
In 1996 Akon became one half of Da Gutta Boyz (alongside Big Gee) who recorded their first demo.
At the last of twenty century, he teamed up with DJ Kurtis Damm to form a group called Da Slickness and they released their debut single “Murder She Wrote”. It became the most requested record on New York’s Hot 97 radio station at the time.
